Why can't I claim on an unpaid bill, booking receipt, or deposit?

Oyen works on a pay-and-claim basis. That means:

1. You pay your vet clinic first. 2. Then you submit your claim for reimbursement.

Because of this, only bills you've already fully paid can be reimbursed. A few things that unfortunately cannot be claimed:

  • ❌ Unpaid or outstanding bills
  • ❌ Booking or appointment receipts
  • ❌ Deposit slips or partial deposits
  • ❌ Quotations or estimates

Your proof of payment must also match the bill total. The amount you paid should match the final invoice, so the correct eligible amount can be reimbursed.

Once you've settled the full bill with your clinic and have the final invoice plus proof of payment, you're ready to submit 🐾 We'll take it from there.
