Paying monthly spreads your premium across the year. Here's what to keep in mind 💛
- It's still a 12-month plan. Monthly payment splits your annual premium into instalments, but your coverage runs as a full one-year contract.
- The RM1,000 rule. Once your cumulative approved claims reach RM1,000, you'll need to settle the remaining full-year premium before further reimbursement is released. Or you can continue your monthly instalments and collect the reimbursement after your final month's premium is paid.
- No refunds on a monthly plan. Premiums already paid are non-refundable, and if you've submitted a claim you can't cancel until the remaining full-year premium is settled.
- NCD doesn't apply to monthly. The No Claim Discount is for annual plans only.
The RM1,000 rule sounds technical, but it simply makes sure the year's premium is squared away before larger reimbursements go out. If you're ever unsure where you stand, just ask and we'll go through your numbers with you 🐾
