What is a co-payment?

A co-payment is the share of the vet bill you pay yourself on each claim. It is shown on your policy schedule as a percentage.

Depending on the plan you chose, your co-payment is 10%, 30%, or 50%. That means we reimburse the rest of the eligible amount, so 90%, 70%, or 50%.

The co-payment is worked out on the claimable portion of the bill, after we remove any items that are not covered. If your policy also has a deductible, that is applied on top of the co-payment. To check which co-payment applies to you, look at the schedule in your policy document.
