What is a deductible in Oyen Pet Insurance?

Note: this applies to the Conventional pet insurance policy (underwritten by MSIG).

A deductible is a small fixed amount you cover yourself on a claim, before your reimbursement starts. If your plan has one, it'll be RM100 or RM200, and it's shown on your policy schedule.

How it works: the deductible is applied per bill, and it comes after your co-payment. So the order on any eligible bill is:

1. Co-payment first (for example 10%), then 2. the deductible (RM100 or RM200).

Quick example 🐾

An RM800 eligible bill, on a 10% co-pay with an RM100 deductible:

• Co-pay (10%): RM80
• Deductible: RM100
• Reimbursed: RM620 ✅

A deductible only applies if it's printed on your schedule. If there's none listed, none applies 💛
