Preventable diseases are illnesses that a vaccination can protect against, such as parvovirus, canine distemper, and rabies.
Under our current plans, rabies, canine distemper, and parvovirus (including feline parvovirus, also called panleukopenia) are not covered at all. This applies even if your pet's vaccinations are up to date. It includes the vet visit, tests, hospital stay, medication, any complications, and burial or cremation costs if your pet passes away from one of these diseases.
That's why we strongly recommend keeping your pet's vaccinations current. Vaccination isn't needed to sign up, but it's the best protection your pet has against these diseases. If you're not sure whether your pet is up to date, check with your vet.
