Can I cancel my Oyen Pet Insurance plan?

Yes, you can cancel your Oyen Pet Insurance plan, but there are some important details to consider:

For Annual Premium Policies:

  • If no claims have been submitted (or if claims have been rejected/withdrawn):
    • You can cancel your plan at any time before the policy's expiry date and receive a pro-rated refund from the date you officially inform us.
  • If claims have been submitted (including those pending review or payment, or those successfully reimbursed):
    • You can still cancel your plan before the policy's expiry date, but no refunds will be provided.

For Monthly Premium Policies:

We require a minimum of 3 working days to process cancellation. If your next charge falls within the next 3 working days, you will not receive a refund for your charge.

  • If no claims have been submitted (or if claims have been rejected/withdrawn):
    • You can cancel your plan at any time before the policy's expiry date. However, there will be no refund for previously paid premiums, including the one just paid prior to cancellation.
  • If claims have been submitted (including those pending review or payment, or those successfully reimbursed):
    • You will not be able to cancel your plan unless the remaining premium is paid in full.

Once you submit a cancellation request, a customer care specialist will reach out to you within 3 working days. Please note that cancellations are subject to review and will be approved if all terms and conditions are met.

Policy terms and conditions apply.

If you currently hold an active Oyen Takaful Kucing certificate, the information specific to your plan still applies until your certificate's end date. Read the full update on Oyen Takaful Kucing's discontinuation.

Refund eligibility after a rejected or withdrawn claim

For annual policies, you can cancel before your policy expires and receive a pro-rated refund from the date you tell us, as long as no claim has been paid or approved on the policy.

If you did submit a claim but it was rejected or withdrawn, and you have no other approved or paid claims in the current policy year, you are still eligible for the pro-rated refund.

Once a claim has been approved or paid, the policy is no longer eligible for a refund, and any remaining premium for the year still needs to be settled.

Monthly policies work differently: there is no refund of premiums already paid.
