What if I do not want to microchip my dog?

That is completely your call, and we will not push you on it.

Here is the one thing to know: for dogs, a microchip number is needed at the claims stage, because it confirms the pet being treated is the insured pet. You can sign up first and add the microchip number to your account later, so it does not hold up your purchase.

If a claim comes up and there is still no microchip on file, it can affect whether the claim can be processed. So while it is not needed to buy the policy, it does matter later. If cost is the concern, ask us about the free microchip we offer for pet dogs.
