Is dental treatment covered?

Routine and most dental treatment is not covered. This includes scaling, cleaning, extractions, and gum disease such as gingivitis. These are considered dental care and fall outside the policy.

The exception is dental treatment needed because of an accident, for example a tooth broken in a fall or a road accident. In that case it can be considered, subject to the usual terms and exclusions.

If you are not sure whether your pet's situation counts as accidental, see your vet first for treatment, then send us the details and we will help you check.
