My pet has passed away: what happens to my policy?

We're so deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved furkid 💛 Please take all the time you need. Whenever you're ready, here's what happens with the policy, and how we'll gently take care of the admin side for you.

First, disabling auto-renewal To make sure you're not charged again, please disable auto-renewal on your policy. If you'd like, just let us know and we can help you switch it off.

What happens with your premium, by plan type:

Your plan If no claims were made If claims were submitted
Annual You'll receive a pro-rated refund from the cancellation date No refund. The premium for the policy period stands
Monthly No refund for premiums already paid You can't cancel until the remaining full-year premium is settled

Burial / cremation benefit 🐾 If your furkid was on a Plus or Champion plan, there may be a burial or cremation benefit:

  • Plus: up to RM500
  • Champion: up to RM1,000 (This benefit isn't available on the Basic plan.)

This benefit is on a reimbursement basis. It isn't a lump-sum death benefit, so there's no fixed cash payout. For this claim, you can submit the receipt from any burial or cremation service provider, and it will be processed for you.

One gentle thing that helps the claim When you feel able to, sharing a little about the cause of passing and any related details helps us put together the strongest possible case for the claim's approval. Please only share what you're comfortable with. There's no need to go into anything difficult, even a few words is a real help, and it's only so we can present the best case on your behalf.

There's no rush on any of this. Whenever you feel ready, reach out and we'll go through everything gently, together 💛
